How accurate is the card scanner?
The scanner identifies cards from a catalog of 20,000+ Pokémon cards. When it's unsure it shows you the top candidates to pick from — it never silently logs the wrong card.
Do I have to scan every card?
No. Search the card catalog and add any exact printing manually without using a scan. Scanning is the fastest way to log physical cards, especially full-page captures of a binder sleeve.
Is Masterys only for completing master sets?
No. Masterys is a card scanner and collection app first. Track individual cards, values, duplicates, binders, wishlist cards, trade lists, and portfolio movement. Master-set goals are optional and use the same collection data.
Which languages can it read?
Masterys currently supports English-language cards on every plan. Japanese and Chinese support will return after reliable pricing coverage is ready.
What's the difference between the Free and Basic plans?
Free gets you 35 lifetime scans, catalog search, manual card adds, collection tracking, and two master-set goals. Basic ($10/mo) gives you 750 scans a month, whole-page binder capture, and unlimited goals. Max ($25/mo) adds AI card grading.
How does the scan quota work?
Only successful card recognitions count. A scan that fails to identify a card — bad photo, declined language, network drop — doesn't burn a slot. On Free the 35-scan allotment is lifetime (no reset). On Basic the 750 / 30-day window is rolling: a scan you used 30 days ago drops off automatically.
How does the AI grader work?
Take a photo of the front and a photo of the back. Masterys returns an instant 1–10 condition grade and a quick read on each side. It's a second opinion to help you decide which cards are worth submitting for real grading — not a replacement for it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your plan from the account dashboard in two taps — or directly from Stripe's hosted Customer Portal. You drop back to Free immediately. Your cards, binders, wishlist, scans, and master-set progress all stay put.
What if my payment fails?
Stripe will retry the card automatically per its standard dunning policy. While retries are pending your Basic features pause and you see a banner with two clear options: update your card (opens the Stripe portal) or accept the downgrade to Free.
Where do I actually use the app?
Use the iPhone or Android app for camera scanning and collection work on the go. On the web, you can search the card catalog, review your collection and values, organize it, and manage your account. Desktop uses Search where the mobile app uses Scan.
